Powder Handling / Collection

Sharpe Engineering's division, Allied Mechanical, specializes strictly in the handling and collection of powder, ingredients, and dust. Being closely tied to Sharpe Engineering means that all of quality handling of projects is accomplished for your powder handling project, and of course we specialize in USDA and sanitary applications.

Our areas of focus here are in pneumatic conveying, auger conveying, and dust collection. This is a specialized field and one that many people don't understand. There are numerous applications that can be handled very efficiently and cleanly with pneumatic conveying that most wouldn't realize. Most of the time, costs are similar to traditional methods, but there is far less maintenance and sanitation concerns involved with the system.

Our experiences come in conveying numerous types of products from powder ingredients to larger and more sensitive products like candy and shredded cheese. Dust collection is also an area that over the last few years has become and important part of keeping your plant clean and free from OSHA concerns. We have supplied bag and super sack dump stations with dust collection as well as central dust collection systems for my operations. We have our own specialized design for collection stray dust and oil mist from tumble drum applications as well.

We can also do custom design of components for your application when a traditional design isn't applicable.
