Sharpe Engineering performs a wide variety of engineering services from design and drafting work through providing administrative and documentation support. Some areas that we have been successful at are listed below. Please contact us with any thoughts that you might have about how we can support your engineering efforts. We are well resourced to get work complete and can be flexible in our approach to it.

We have done equipment designs for a variety of reasons:

1. We have designed (and built) proprietary equipment specifically for a plant to perform a unique or confidential function. We have worked through development and assigned patents to our customers with all intellectual property the possession of our customer.
2. We have designed "non-proprietary" equipment (like customer conveyors / handling equipment) to perform a task at a plant. We have also built this equipment or worked with customers to have the equipment built with a manufacturer of their choice.
3. We have done design work for equipment manufactures in the food processing/packaging industries when the need for custom equipment is required.

Plant layouts (or proposed layouts) can be done for various reasons. Whether its for compliance issues, project or future planning issues, communication purposes or other reasons, Sharpe Engineering has done layout work in over 100 food processing plants. We have worked with various different companies in a drafting or designing support role. We have worked directly at the clients place of business, brought our own computer/software and have been a part of their engineering department. In some cases we were the entire engineering department on a temporary basis. Please contact us to discuss any application or needs that you might have in this area. We can review your existing documentation and can support or furnish detailed drawings of equipment for future or more efficient manufacturing. Whether it is a custom piece of equipment that you would like to document or modifications that you want a record of, we can support your effort. If you are a manufacturer of equipment, we organize drawing packages to more efficiently integrate into the manufacturing process and provide a more consistent and efficiently built end product.

We will work in various software programs and make sure that the documentation that you have is in the format that best suits your needs. We have worked with various different software packages and have also started with hard copy blueprints and developed proper filing systems for electronic documentation. Sharpe Engineering has the equipment to work with full E sized drawings and can also put together drawing packages for presentation or communication purposes. We can format drawings, clean them up and deliver muti-color plots to serve a variety of purposes.
